ROLLE, Switzerland (3 September 2012) – It will be the coolest happy hour occasion in Milan for Infiniti customers and guests when the Japanese performance brand’s newest production model will make its Italian debut at the Infiniti Centre Milan.  Among the invitees will be some of the first people to order the exclusive Infiniti FX Vettel Edition – and they will enjoy having the opportunity of a close contact with the final version of the most exclusive FX ever.

After the recent dynamic debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the reigning Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel drove it in front of a crowd of car enthusiasts, the FX Vettel makes its first appearance in Italy, for the joy of the passionate Italian guests of the occasion taking place at IC Milan on Sept. 6th from 19:00 on.
For the eager customers, plus other guests, the Monza GP weekend is part of a money-can’t-buy experience that takes one of Infiniti’s brand pillars ¬– hospitality towards its customers – to new heights.

Invitees to the Sept. 6th party at IC Milan will have the chance to taste a flavor of what Infiniti reserves to their customers, when 2 admission tickets to Monza GP are withdrawn at the edge of the party. Furthermore, for Formula 1 fans, the Red Bull Racing F1 car will be in display at IC Milan.

To make the occasion really special, Infiniti is honored to host former Red Bull Racing Driver and 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard,

Customer deliveries of FX Vettel Edition commence in the first quarter of 2013. Of the strictly-limited 50 cars for Western Europe 15 already have customer names on.

The FX Vettel Edition will not only be one of 2013’s most exclusive new performance cars but also one of the most focused, with the production cars being virtually identical to the concept version.

Featuring an aerodynamics package developed in collaboration with Red Bull Racing, the FX Vettel Edition can claim both sleeker aerodynamics (drag is reduced by 5%) and, with the optional rear spoiler fitted, more rear downforce (an additional 30%). Other numbers confirmed by Infiniti include an upgrade of the 5.0-litre V8 to 420PS (up from 390PS) with torque of 520Nm, making it the most powerful Infiniti ever sold in Europe. It will sound as good as it goes thanks to a special exhaust system.
Carbon-fibre parts enhance the package further, while the increased downforce and lowered, stiffer suspension ensure handling and stability are exactly what the World Champion ordered.
Inside, each FX Vettel Edition is retrimmed in Alcantara® with purple stitching. The rooflining is also Alcantara® while trim inserts are in carbon-fibre.  Standard features will be as for the FX50S Premium, already one of the best-equipped SUVs available and a car known for its sophisticated technology, lightweight components and features such as Rear Active Steering for maximum agility.
The FX Vettel Edition costs from €120,000 (depending on country) and first deliveries will be in early 2013. Every FX Vettel Edition owner will be Infiniti’s guest at a range of excusive events, all part of an automotive experience that money can’t buy. Ramping up the sense of occasion for the FX Vettel Edition owner still further will be bespoke test drives and special customer handover celebrations.

Bernard Loire, Infiniti Vice President for Europe, Africa and the Middle East said:  “We are honored to show the Sebastian Vettel Edition in front of our Italian customers and friends who will enjoy our evening in Milan. Italians are among the most expert and passionate car enthusiasts and I’m sure they will appreciate both the performance cars and the hospitality they will have the opportunity to enjoy at Infiniti on this occasion”.
Ado Fassina, Managing Director of Fassina, Italian distributor for Infiniti, added: “Milan Centre is about to celebrate it’s 5th year of activity and I’m delighted having the opportunity to invite customers and guests to the Italian debut of such an exclusive car as the FX Vettel Edition”.
